Lyndon-from-Out-Space

I grew up fishing the canals and rivers in East and North London as an introduction to fishing.  I believe fishing brings organisation, planning, and the great outdoor experience which can only benefit our mental health. It also enhances our social inclusion and well-being.

Later in life, I took up the fly rod which has taken me all around the world, building my holidays around fishing. When I’m fishing, life makes a lot more sense!

As a vocation, I believe that spending 1-2 hours by a river or lake could really be of benefit to individuals young and old who may have challenging issues. I also believe this can be an all-year-round experience for those who might want to brave the cold!

My NLP training together with my work engagements has really helped me to fine tune and build upon existing and new relationships.

I am currently work with local authority supporting students experiencing issues with school attendance. I assess clients’ needs and in synergy with colleagues with specialist roles we formulate strategies to assist clients by providing activities with a forward action plan.

My communication style is clear and concise and I will use analogies, stories or examples to help individuals understand and, be me more self-aware of how their behaviours may affect others around them. I will also look at tools that are more aligned to the individual as this can often be the path of least resistance to change.

About Fishing

I am currently promoting a therapeutic intervention that will enhance mental well-being whilst embracing a natural environment. This is a person-centred approach tailored to meet individual needs.

I will provide supervised 1-2-1 sessions of fishing which will include all of the required equipment for this great outdoor activity. This will include a course in fly-fishing.

Fresh research has underlined the far-reaching well-being benefits that angling can offer.

The new academic paper, which was undertaken by Anglia Ruskin University, shows that in addition to reducing the symptoms of depression, fishing boosts individuals’ social connections, and helps them deal with anxiety and related conditions.

Thereafter, Out-Space will arrange a lesson with a golf professional to understand impact, ball flight and launch angles so you can get hit more fairways and greens.
